古時(shí)專修自然之道的人士，看上去很微妙、通達(dá)、深深、神秘莫測(cè)，一般的人無(wú)法理解。正因?yàn)樗荒苣転槠匠Ｈ怂斫?，所以我也只能勉?qiáng)地來(lái)形容他們：

他們小心謹(jǐn)慎啊，好像是在冬天踩著冰過(guò)河；

他們十分警覺啊，好像在其周邊己危機(jī)四伏；

他們嚴(yán)肅莊重啊，好像是要準(zhǔn)備去赴宴做客；

他們?yōu)t灑自如啊，好像春天正在消融的冰雪；

他們純樸厚道啊，好像沒(méi)有經(jīng)過(guò)砍削的圓木；

他們心胸寬廣啊，好像那崇山峻嶺中的山谷；

他們混混沌沌啊，好像一灘深不見底的渾水。

誰(shuí)能使那流動(dòng)的渾水靜止，使之慢慢變得清澈呢？誰(shuí)又能使它長(zhǎng)期保持安靜清澈，然后慢慢使它流動(dòng)起來(lái)又變得渾濁不清？從這當(dāng)中領(lǐng)會(huì)到自然之道的精神人，就不會(huì)自滿。正因?yàn)樗麖牟蛔詽M，所以能夠棄舊圖新。

From this，he who can comprehend the implication will understand the Nature's principle and he will neven self-satisfied. It is because he is never self-satisfied that he can give up the old traditions and try to accept new things.
